The rebirth.

DeleteQui-Gon Jinn without the hair
ReplyDeleteActually feels refreshing to see the whole origin unravel...
ReplyDeleteThomas Wayne just makes so much sense in this one. Wouldn't have been upset if they'd had even more flashback time
ReplyDeleteThe old Nolan stethoscope eh?
ReplyDeleteBB solves the issue Batman 89 created – get’s the chance of revenge and is robbed of it... Can't destroy that motivation.
ReplyDeleteYes!!
DeleteDumping damaged Bruce Wayne outside Carmine Falcone’s haunt seems a little mean!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy watching Tom Wilkinson, but it always takes a few minutes to put 'Full Monty' out my head.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this movie has a good few British actors putting on American accents.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the last things Holmes did before Cruise.
ReplyDeleteShe looks happy.
It has always struck me as a little strange that Gotham should be SO bad as to gain the attention of a Tibetan loon...in Tibet.
ReplyDeleteMr Zsasz – key villain in the upcoming Dawn of Justice! Bit underused here!
ReplyDeleteAnd for once the bat comes in though the window like Bob Kane's origin!
ReplyDeleteWell, that explains why the '43 Batman only EVER came in through windows.
DeleteIt's nice for someone to finally acknowledge the major pain in the balls it must have been sorting out the Batcave.
ReplyDeleteLike the way his first major mission goes very badly - and how they make the Scarecrow incredibly effective.
ReplyDeleteExcellent move using Lucius Fox. Seperates Batman from Iron Man
ReplyDeleteIn the scene with Batman running through the Arkham cells, it's refreshing that Nolan didn't fall into the 'cliche' that so many of the other comic book film-makers do, and gratuitously have the names of other universe villains on the doors.
ReplyDeleteHow to do a roof top car chase right
ReplyDeleteTaser to the face. Nasty.
ReplyDeleteDifficult to see the 60's Jim Gordon getting quite so involved.
ReplyDeleteHe'd probably have been a better shot though...
DeleteIt's not that it is done 'seriously' that makes this film so good. It's just that it's done 'properly'. Nothing seems half arsed. Everything has been thought out fully. Refreshing!
ReplyDeleteThus we enter the Age of the Bruce mask and... Escalation.
